Hunger in Brazoria County has changed...

Hunger is no longer limited to the homeless or unemployed.

Hunger is also prevalent among the working poor, the elderly and those experiencing temporary financial crisis.

That means our approaches to addressing hunger within the community must also change.

The Food Basket’s services are open to the community, assisting new neighbors in need each week. Feel free to refer a friend in need or volunteer!

Our Mission

The Food Basket was founded in 2002 to meet the growing demand for supplemental food among families in Southern Brazoria County.

Our mission is to put God’s Word
- “Feed My Sheep” - into action, and to bolster those with food insecurity.
